An extremely attractive, kind, brave, and, despite his age, he looks like somebody 12-15 years earlier.

John were born living, but unresponsive, as in like, comatose. He would be responsive at age 13, the time where his soul enters his body. But for years... John doesn't realize that the Jade has the ability...

John would be an outwardly ordinary person with "basic" magic affinity and the unusual innate ability to control his own body like it's a videogame ("i just imagine WASD and then i moved. Press Space to jump. Press Shift to Sprint"). Along with an unusually sharp reflexes (which helps in his path of "tactical military" to assist his assassin of a little brother), intelligence (which contributes to his resourcefulness), and unusually high charisma* (though some, such as his parents, were immune), John would be enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after saving Thea Archer, his mage teacher and later brother's wife.

*at times, he worked as a singer who sing covers of popular songs at local taverns and cafes. Whoever listened to the song would, 9 times out of 10, either joining Archer Logistics, or suddenly need less sleep. He is known to have an "angel voice" which can soothe, calm, or energize those who heard his voice.

After three years, John, retired, established Archer Logistics to set up a foothold in mining and private military contractor in the United States of Amelion, with General Thorns, his higher up, assisting him.

He loved his housemaiden-turned-wife, Bell Aster-Archer Springfield so much.

It was only later, around the third month of 20th Era Year 24, that he discovered himself as the Jade Catalyst.

As a Jade Catalyst, it was revealed that to save John at birth, due to his unresponsiveness, an experimental treatment by using a Yuelin Jade is given. The Jade, believed to be inert, fuses with his body, and grew as John grow up.

The Jade within him has a hidden mana/magical energy reserve that he largely couldn't (more like he didn't bothered to) take advantage of, thanks to the grown-up Jade within him. Bell, his family housemaiden turned wife, felt it when she married John and having to do the deed for the first time. She became stronger every time she does the deed with her beloved. And she unlocks the form hidden within her, eventually, through that.

In other words, the Jade Catalyst has a hidden, immeasurably high mana reserve that, unless in dire threat of life and strong emotional response (such as loved ones in danger), cannot be used. However, it can be easily transferred through bodily fluids, be it kisses or.... doing the deed (often referred to as "mana transfer").

Bell notes that if he can take advantage of the Jade, he could level entire continents in a single strike of a palm.

In a moment of dire threat of life and strong emotional response, the Jade took over to present the best ending possible for the "Harbinger Event", an event where Bell summoned a bus-full of college graduates to be turned into Sage Candidates, believing that life here would be more interesting.

He's noted to be very calm and not at all being angry when confronting the Harbinger, because from the Harbinger's point of view, Bell deserved it, and John lacks any killing intent, which prevents the Harbinger from killing John.

"If he lacks any killing intent, how he could be an accomplished soldier and assassin?" -Daniella Tammison.

"It's simply because i managed to suppress it, even if it's resurfacing at times. If i had to kill my target, it's for the sake of mission instead of actual killing intent." -John

"Allison, i heard... Well, as i say, every man has it's own beloved. Like you to Daniella and Allison. Right now i only wish you can be reunited with Allison. Please forgive my haughty beloved. All that happens is out of my control." -John towards Jonathan.

In the end, it was him, as the Jade Catalyst, that managed to save his beloved's life, and, through destroying his wife's soul and putting part of himself to his wife, undo any and all damages caused by his wife, including the wife's bodily functions. Also, returning the spirited away students home.

That said... several days after, he has moments of "relapsing" due to his soul being incomplete. Things like sleepwalking, being depressed, and acting weird to the detriment of his own well-being. Though luckily, because part of his soul is in Bell's, no matter how far they were, Bell can charm or control John to prevent John from harming himself.

His green eyes are the sign that he has the power of a Jade. He also prefers wearing dark/black clothing with green accents sometimes, or most oftenly, a camo dress, be it military uniform or civilian.

As a Jade Catalyst he can't also be killed unless the Jade, which has taken over most, if not all of her organs, though not outwardly visible, and John can be injured and feel pain as usual, so yeah... It's just as painful.

In the rare event of his death, the universe resets itself until the best possible timeline is provided, known as "Return by Death" or "Perseverance made Flesh".
